Jonathan [Jon] Siddall has worked in the polyurethane industry for over 25 years, and a 4-year course in Surface Coating Technology at the South Bank University validates his wide experience. Beginning his career as a laboratory technician with electrical insulation resins, he has progressed through formulating foam systems for a wide range of applications including automotive and office seating, flexible integral skin, spray RIM and high density rigid integral mouldings.
“My role is to support the customer to ensure the continual growth of IFS Chemicals,” Jon comments. “During my career I have worked both as a supplier of polyurethane foam systems and as a customer, so I am able to empathise with the needs of both. I am looking forward to contributing to the continued success of the company.”
Jon is an accomplished skier, and shares his love of the sport with his three children. He also enjoys fresh water coarse fishing, and in his younger days, fished in national competitions all over the country. He is now contemplating re-entering match fishing at club level.
Managing Director, Dr Barrie Colvin welcomes Jon, saying, “Jon brings many years of business and technical expertise with him, which will benefit both IFS and its customers. He will play a large part in ensuring that the company goes through 2008 with confidence.”
