Roydon, Kings Lynn: IFS Chemicals, a formulation house which specialises in developing polyurethane chemicals for a wide cross-section of worldwide industries, has appointed Stewart Cooper to its technical support team.
Stewart has an engineering background, starting his working life as an apprentice at Rolls Royce Motors. After qualifying as a mechanical engineer, he spent over 20 years with a highly respected polyurethane machine supplier, where he gained invaluable experience installing and commissioning polyurethane plant.
“Technical support for IFS customers requires the presence of engineers who are conversant with polyurethane dispensing equipment as well as qualified and experienced polyurethane chemists,” explains Dr Barrie Colvin, Managing Director of IFS Chemicals. “Stuart has accrued many years of invaluable experience in the polyurethane machinery industry and is superbly
placed to combine the chemistry of polyurethane with the mixing and general processing requirements needed to obtain a top quality manufactured product.”
Stewart is married with three sons. He is a rugby enthusiast and a keen supporter of grass-roots rugby. Much of his leisure time is taken up with coaching and refereeing for his local club. He also enjoys travelling, and has toured Europe extensively.
Stewart says: “I am looking forward to my career with IFS, where I hope that my experience will add to the already excellent technical support service IFS gives to its customers.”
