It is virtually impossible to list every application of PU foams and elastomers – the possibilities are virtually endless. Wherever strong, lightweight, high-performance mouldings are required, you’ll find polyurethane foam.
With the correct formulation, an integral-skin resin can combine a density of 400kg/m3 at the core with a skin almost three times as dense. The result is a combination of low weight and high impact resistance, and a product suitable for moulding anything from faux wood panelling to computer housings, and from tennis rackets to metal detectors. All mouldings have high thermal stability, excellent resistance to corrosion, and are available with fire resistance properties to meet the most demanding specifications.
